Frequently Asked Questions
We hope to answer some commonly asked questions here, please contact us directly with anything else!
Private Insurance
We work with and bill most private insurances on your behalf.
We do NOT usually require a referral for patients with private insurance, however, a referral is typically preferred to streamline the process and ensure completion of treatment goals.
Cash Paying Patients
Our extraction promotion applies to uninsured, cash-paying patients. We understand paying out of pocket for dental treatment can be overly expensive with the potential for hidden fees. We have tried to make our pricing as transparent as possible so you can prepare accordingly for treatment. We do NOT typically require a referral for cash-paying patients in need of extraction.
State Insurance - Medicaid
We accept Washington State Medicaid Insurance, commonly referred to as Apple Health or Molina Health. Exams, extractions, and most surgical treatment is typically covered at 100%.
We REQUIRE a referral for surgical treatment from a local dental clinic in order to schedule.
General anesthesia for the pediatric population (age 20 and younger) is usually covered at 100%.
Payments
Any copays and payments are due at the time of service and subject to our financial agreement terms/conditions.
Treatment
We have limited our scope of practice to dental surgery and only provide select surgical treatments at our clinic. We do not offer comprehensive exams, cleanings, restorative treatments, crowns/bridges, denture fabrication, etc at our clinic.
We do not normally allow anyone other than the patient to remain in the room during treatment.
What to bring to the appointment
In order to best and safely serve you, we require a comprehensive understanding of your present health. You must bring a complete list of medications, allergies, and medical conditions to your appointment. Please bring a copy of your current dental insurance if applicable.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. POA must be present if applicable.
Anesthesia Options
We will typically complete most treatment under local anesthesia only. Nitrous laughing gas can sometimes be used for anxiety/comfort. We do not typically offer full sedation to our adult population. For patients 20 years and younger, we are usually able to offer completion of treatment under General Anesthesia with our in-house MD Anesthesiologist.
What to Expect
We try to streamline our process as much as possible. It may seem like we are "only pulling a tooth," but we are actually attempting to safely juggle your medical health, surgical risk profile, and comfort as a patient. At your first visit to our clinic, you can expect a thorough evaluation where we review your medical history, assess the condition of the tooth or area in question, and determine the safest and most effective treatment plan for you. While we do our best to complete treatment on the same day, there are cases where a consultation is necessary first to ensure we’re fully prepared and you’re receiving the best care possible.
